At Hope Counseling Center, we welcome the stories of every individual who walks through our doors. We foster connection through a warm, non-judgmental, and relational therapeutic approach, recognizing the vital role of spirituality and faith as sources of hope and strength for our clients.

Discover hope, embrace healing, and find your true self

  • A safe place to speak freely and be emotionally vulnerable.

  • Expert guidance, discernment, and hope every step of the way.

  • Feel empowered and inspired to make meaningful changes that align with emotional, spiritual, and relational wholeness.

  • Develop your self-worth and strengthen your self-esteem.

  • Heal and embrace your authenticity and inner strength so you can feel confident in your direction.

Our integrative therapy approach combines clinical skills with faith-based practices to address the holistic factors that impact every client’s life and struggles.  We at Hope believe that we are all built for community, family, and belonging.  When trauma happens to us, it happens to all of us, impacting our view of self, the world, and others.  Our therapists draw upon trauma skills and work experientially and somatically with clients’ stories to heal the body, mind, and spirit and bring renewed hope into their lives.

Meet the Owner & Founder

My journey began with my large Romanian immigrant family. I arrived in America at the age of 2, accompanied by 2 other siblings, to reunite with our dad in Chicago after an extended separation. Our family endured distance, hardship, and attachment challenges, all in pursuit of a better life.

My story is one of resilience, faith, and hope.

As the oldest girl among 9 siblings and in a new country with non-English speaking parents, I witnessed the numerous challenges that can overwhelm families, from assimilation and financial struggles to parenting difficulties and more. But I also experienced firsthand what can happen when a family perseveres, sticks together, loves unconditionally, maintains faith, holds onto hope, and never stops fighting for one another.

After college, I initially pursued a career in teaching. However, I soon realized I had a passion for counseling and supporting others on their healing journeys. My journey was the foundation I needed to become the person and therapist I am today.

In 2020, Hope Counseling Center was born from this realization and the desire to help families and individuals find hope and healing. I understand feeling lost and wanting to hold on to a ray of something good.  It can feel so alone like you’re the only one, and hope will not come.

But with help, hope will be restored…

For you
For your child or teen
For your relationship
For your family.

Let’s Embrace Hope and honor God, ourselves, our family, and our community.

Our Values

We understand the importance of providing a safe space for individuals from all backgrounds, beliefs, and experiences. Our team is inclusive of everyone. Our beliefs and core values are the fundamental driving forces behind everything we do.

Hope

We believe hope is the sole anchor that holds us through life’s darkest moments.

Belonging

Our deepest need is to belong. We value the work of getting clients to a place where they experience belonging in their lives and relationships.

Authenticity

We value the gift of authenticity and helping you show up fully in your life and your relationships.

Joy

We believe joy is a profound gift, and we are all searching for it.  But we also believe that the joy lost can be found.

Connection

From the moment we are born, our eyes and our hearts are searching for connection.  Hold me, connect with me, and love me.  Connection happens not alone but with one another.

Compassion

We believe compassion is needed as much for others on the journey as for ourselves.  There is no healing without it.

Humor

We believe humor and play connect us and help us bond. We love to use humor in our sessions and value it as an important part of the healing journey.

“Because of the Lord’s great love, we are not consumed, for his compassion never fails. They are new every morning; great is your faithfulness.”  — Lamentations 3:22-23
