Our Approach
We utilize a variety of therapeutic modalities tailored to meet the unique needs of each child or teen. Our approaches include:
Attachment Therapy: Focuses on building and strengthening relationships, enhancing emotional security and fostering healthy relationship patterns.
Family Systems Therapy: Examines the family dynamics and relationships that impact a child’s behavior and emotional well-being, aiming to improve communication and resolve conflicts within the family unit.
Play Therapy: Utilizes play as a therapeutic tool to help children express their feelings, resolve internal conflicts, and develop coping skills in a comfortable and non-threatening way.
Experiential Therapy: Engages children in activities and experiences that help them explore and process their emotions, fostering personal insight and emotional growth.
PACT (Psychobiological Approach to Couples Therapy): While primarily used for couples, PACT principles can also be applied to family therapy, focusing on emotional regulation and attachment security.
Theraplay: Aims to enhance the parent-child relationship through interactive play and activities that promote attachment, communication, and emotional regulation.
PCIT (Parent-Child Interactive Therapy): Focuses on improving the quality of the parent-child relationship and addressing behavioral issues through real-time coaching and positive reinforcement strategies.
EMDR for Kids: Utilize an EMDR guided approach to address difficult and/or traumatic memories or experiences within a developmentally appropriate lens.
Each of these methods is designed to create a supportive environment that facilitates growth and healing for your child.
